Moving...little bit by little bit

The last couple of weekends have been spent moving scads of crap. Wow, we have a lot of crap. I sometimes fantasize about it all just disappearing...but, a fantasy it remains. I visited Bob recently to get some bed posts from the crawl space. For a family that never uses coffee tables, funny that there are 3 of them stored under there. Three?! ?!...?!!!!!????!! Then, I visited the rented storage unit to grab the futon mattress for Chance's bed. Where the hell did all that stuff come from? Is that ours? ??!!?? Today I cleared out the bookshelf in the basement at Frances. The sad part is that most of what we're moving in is the "crap" -- you know, all the stuff at the end of your move when you've neatly boxed up the valuable stuff and safely tucked it away and the rest you just shovel in a box and promise to sort through later? -- well, all that good stuff is still nicely packed away. I really want my kitchen box, but it seems futile to bring it out when there's no space to put anything.

Had another contractor come do an estimate for an island cabinet unit. Should have some quotes from them tomorrow. Brought my computer over, but, still don't have internet...so, photoless for the time being.

Hung some icicle lights today on the pop-out -- that's nice...lights the driveway/front yard nicely. Maybe we'll be those loser neighbors who leave up their Christmas lights until April. Super cool.
