So, the weekend after we closed was Labor Day. Chance and I went to hang out at Chester on Thursday night, but, he wasn't feeling the love of the place, it being empty, unfinished, echo-y, and a little spooky. We decided to go to Lowe's to see if they had any fun, whimsical light fixtures for his room to start adding a little character. I, SO, TOTALLY scored. They had a ton of returns and last of line fixtures they were clearing out for the weekend sale, all set up on a table. It was about 8:30 at night, and they were just getting ready to for the crazy weekend starting the next day. I picked up about $1,000 dollars in fixtures...for under $300 bucks. Enough to pretty much replace all the bare bulb fixtures in the house except for a couple in the attic bedroom. Total score!
