The drawbacks of hiring help.

See, the problem is, Derek's really good and takes great pride in every detail of what he does...which means that nobody else will ever live up to his standards. Case in point, the nice man I fired this weekend who was going to tile the bathroom. I'm sure he would have done a lovely job, but, if it wasn't done the way Derek thought it should be done, it would never be lovely enough. So I had to tell him nevermind. Talk about sucking.

On the other hand, Derek has friends who share his same views on perfectionism and came to start the floor (thank you, Tim!) -- and that's going quite well. Albeit...slowly. So, the basement floor is beginning to take shape...and the bathroom is back in total limbo.
